Acceptable Use Policy

1. Permitted Uses

You may use the Liya Engine platform to:

• Build and operate AI-powered applications for legitimate business purposes.
• Integrate AI capabilities into your products and services via our APIs.
• Use domain packs for their intended industry use cases (healthcare, fintech, talent, compliance, etc.) in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Prototype, test, and develop AI workflows in development and staging environments.
• Process your organization’s proprietary data through the platform in accordance with your subscription plan and applicable data agreements.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Liya Engine platform to:

Illegal Activity

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Facilitate fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes.
• Generate, distribute, or store child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any other illegal content.
• Engage in unauthorized access to computer systems, networks, or data.

Healthcare and HIPAA Violations

• Process Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA without first executing a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Liya Engine. To obtain a BAA, contact [email protected].
• Use AI outputs as a direct substitute for licensed clinical judgment without appropriate human oversight.
• Circumvent required audit trails or access controls for regulated health data.

Platform Abuse

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, model weights, or underlying algorithms of the platform.
• Systematically scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform or its outputs beyond normal API use.
• Intentionally abuse rate limits, quotas, or pricing mechanisms — including by creating multiple accounts to circumvent per-account limits.
• Use the platform to generate synthetic data or outputs for the purpose of training competing AI models or services.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code into the platform.

Impersonation and Deception

• Impersonate any individual, organization, or AI system in a deceptive or harmful manner.
• Use the platform to create fraudulent communications, phishing content, or social engineering materials.

3. AI-Specific Restrictions

Disinformation and Synthetic Media

• You may not use the platform to generate disinformation, fabricated news, or synthetic media (deepfakes) intended to deceive the public or manipulate public opinion.
• You may not use the platform to generate content that falsely attributes statements to real individuals.

Healthcare and High-Stakes Automation

• Automated AI pipelines operating in healthcare contexts (clinical decision support, triage, medication guidance) must include appropriate human-in-the-loop oversight. Fully autonomous operation without clinical review is prohibited unless explicitly approved in writing by Liya Engine.
• You may not use AI outputs to make final binding decisions about individuals in high-stakes contexts (employment, credit, insurance, criminal justice) without human review and applicable legal basis.

Weapons and Harm

• You may not use the platform to assist in the development, acquisition, or use of weapons of mass destruction, biological agents, or other instruments of mass harm.
• You may not use the platform to facilitate violence, terrorism, or targeted harassment.

4. Enforcement

We monitor for violations of this policy using automated and manual review methods. Upon detecting a violation, we may, at our sole discretion:

• Issue a warning and require remediation.
• Temporarily suspend API access or platform features.
• Terminate your account and any associated subscriptions without refund.
• Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement authorities.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of enforcement actions unless prohibited by law or doing so would risk harm.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of activity on the Liya Engine platform that violates this policy, please report it to us at [email protected]. Include as much detail as possible. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP to reflect changes in our platform capabilities, applicable law, or industry best practices. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
